I am 24 years old and my life right now is not as nearly as exciting as Vann's midlife drama. A God fearing-middle aged-never been married-or had kids-Christian woman retires ending a 30 year career just to pick up a whole new life. Just when she thinks it's time to kick back and relax so many new, exciting, irritating, and traumatic things happen in her life. This is an inspirational book that takes you through every emotion you can think of. This was a great read. I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 days (nothing got done for those 2 days because I was so engrossed in this book)!

Lena P. Neely "2charley" (Louisville, KY) - I've read Ms. Hopkins book "Seasons" and was glad to see that she had written a new book. This book was truly fantastic. If you don't God, by the time you finish this book you will. There is nothing greater than the love a good God-fearing man and Vann had that in Mitch. They had some trials and tribulations that would make the everyday person pull out their hair and give up. Not in this book. God was the stronghold. His foundation had been given at and early age and Vann always turned to Him for guidance. Even when she had to put up with a mother that didn't deserve a dime from Vann, God was able to reveal that His work needed to be done and Vann was the one to do it. You are going to want to hurt quite a few people in this book and at times wonder what in the world was wrong with Vann that she allowed people to run over her, but the bottom line is that God Is. Ms. Hopkins keep up the good work and I look forward to your next novel. By Sharon D. Simpkins "Love to Read" (Severn, MD) - Great book and wonderful author. Characters are warm and filled with Love of God, situations are real and you feel like you are having a conversation with your best friend. Vann is the main character in this book. Never been married, christian woman who loves the Lord and His people, however, satan comes seeking to destroy her but she stands fast in the Word of God with a wonderful circle of friends who, when she can't, encourages her thru the Word of God. An excellent read!!
